You keep in it the words you have already met in your studies, and KYW brings them back shortly before they fade: it shows the definition, and you type the word. It is not a course – KYW does not teach a language and does not decide what you should learn.

No, KYW runs in the browser. On a phone you can add it to the home screen and open it like a normal app.
Any device with a modern browser – computer, tablet, phone. Progress is synced between them.
Picking tests recognition: the right answer is already on the screen. Typing makes you retrieve the word yourself – that is active recall, and it lasts noticeably longer. A slip of the finger is not counted as ignorance: a typo is analysed letter by letter and told apart from a wrong answer.
Add them by hand or by import: line by line, JSON or CSV (word · definition · tags · synonyms · examples). The ready-made prompt in the “Add” section hands that work to a chatbot. Or type nothing at all: take a pack from the shared library or by a link from whoever built it.

The part that is due – the repetitions that have come up and the new words within your daily limit – runs out, and the session can be closed there. Past that the feed does not end by itself: the third stage keeps mixing in words ahead of schedule for as long as you like – study for as long as you enjoy it. The length of the compulsory part is set by the daily limit of new words: the more you take today, the more repetitions a week from now.
Nothing burns down and nothing is reset. Overdue words wait for you, and FSRS takes the missed interval into account. The first session after a break will be longer than usual – if a lot has piled up, lower the new-word limit for a while and clear the debt. The only thing that breaks is the streak.

The card here is always the same: a definition on the screen, the word from the keyboard. Terms, definitions and nomenclature fit well; formulas, images and questions with a long answer do not. For those a universal card builder such as Anki is the better tool.
Yes. The dictionary exports into a single file, progress included, and loads back in the same format. Deleting the account removes the words, the answers, the schedule, the statistics and the packs.
No. A session talks to the server, so a connection is needed.
Build a pack and give out the link: whoever opens it takes the words, and from then on the app returns that vocabulary to each of them on its own. Details are in the “For teachers” and “For companies” sections.
We do not sell it and do not pass it on, the connection is encrypted, and passwords are stored only as a hash. What exactly is collected, and for how long, is in “Your words stay yours”.
