• How to share words – build a pack and send the link: whoever opens it sees the words together with the text and takes them in one press, even without an account. The file is still there too – a pack exports as a single JSON.
• Turn off autocorrect on your phone – it substitutes its own guesses and breaks the answer check.
• Tune your daily new-word count – it should be more than you can produce in a single round, but not so much that each cycle leaves you learning a couple of words from scratch.
• Show up every day, even 5 minutes – the schedule lives on regularity.
• Answer honestly – Again / Hard / Good / Easy is fuel for the algorithm, not self-esteem.
• Type the word even if unsure – active recall cements memory far better than peeking.
• A typo isn’t a fail – KYW tells it from not knowing and highlights where you slipped. If you feel you do know the word, give it a higher grade than suggested.
• Difficult words under the lens – if a word keeps failing, invent an image or association. A common cause is a poor definition, or one too close to another word in your list – such a card is easier to rewrite.
• Learn from the keyboard – ⏎ answer, 1–4 grade, ⌘Z undo – it is noticeably faster and more comfortable.
